Lindsay Shilling
Lindsay was part of the original Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and began his musical journey with his hometown brass band in Chatteris.
He went on to study at the Royal College of Music with John Iveson and Arthur Wilson, before working with the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and freelancing with London-based symphony orchestras.
In 1994, he joined the London Symphony Orchestra trombone section, and three years later was appointed principal trombone of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
After seven years, he moved to his current role as principal trombone at the Royal Opera House, alongside teaching at the Royal College of Music.
