Philip Cobb
Philip is Principal Trumpet of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and previously held the same role with the London Symphony Orchestra from the age of 21.
Before his professional career began, he received the prestigious 2006 Maurice André Competition award for Most Promising Young Player.
He has performed on major film soundtracks including How to Train Your Dragon III, Star Wars, and Harry Potter. Philip also appeared in the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
His solo recording Fantasy has been widely praised, including by Wynton Marsalis: "Phil has realised the aspirations for generations of trumpeters."
A committed Salvationist, Philip also has his own line of B&S trumpets, including the Challenger II Philip Cobb Signature Model.
