Gareth Small
Gareth studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London from 1989–1993 and enrolled on a London Brass summer music course, during this period.
In 2016, he appeared as a soloist with the world-renowned Black Dyke Brass Band, where he won the soloist prize at the European Brass Band Championships.
He has played on various soundtracks, TV adverts and video games over the past 30 years, including Beauty & the Beast, Hunger Games and Charlie & the Chocolate Factory.
Gareth is Principal Trumpet of the Hallé Orchestra in Manchester and a much-valued member of London Brass, well known for making the section’s most impressive commute, not only for LB but as a Fellow and Professor at the Royal Academy of Music!
He is an artist for Vincent Bach trumpets.
